Raised in North Carolina with a familial connection to Wake Forest through my father, I was naturally intrigued when I discovered Chris Paul had penned an autobiography (Sixty-One). While Chris is renowned for his prowess on the basketball court rather than in academia, his book was a delightful revelation. In it, Chris escorts us through his early years, highlighting a pivotal figure in his life: his grandfather, affectionately known as Papa. Owning a gas station in Winston-Salem, Papa imparted numerous life lessons to Chris. The book poignantly chronicles the multitude of memories with Papa and other family members that shaped Chris's journey to NBA stardom via Wake Forest University. Furthermore, it delves into Chris's desire to pass on the wisdom he garnered from invaluable mentors to his children in every conceivable way.

For those seeking a compelling read about life's journey and the perspective of an esteemed NBA player, Chris Paul's autobiography is a highly recommended choice.
